While in most cases, celebrities tend to lose weight to maintain their popularity, Dawn French had to make a weight loss decision for purely medical purposes. As the comedienne needed to undergo a hysterectomy, shedding pounds was more of a necessity than a choice.

Rachel Frederickson came to the spotlight in The Biggest Loser TV show.  Prior to her career in entertainment, Rachel was a swimming champion and even holds the Minnesota state record. She later became a voice-over artist and that was when her weight gain began, as she later described it.

After applying for The Biggest Loser, Rachel lost a staggering 155 lbs and won the show’s 15th season, in 2014. This caused a strong backlash from the audience of the show, but Rachel negated it and at that point also stated that she had earlier faced body-shaming remarks by her boyfriend while living in Germany.
